About Jax
Senior Master Sergeant, USAF (Ret.) · Federal Recruiter · Author
I help veterans translate military experience into civilian language that hiring managers understand, remember, and act on.
I served twenty-five years across two branches. I have been the veteran trying to explain the work, and the recruiter deciding whether the explanation holds up.

The origin
I have watched talented veterans walk out of hiring rooms with nothing.
Not because they were unqualified. Most were the strongest people in the building. They lost because they could not explain years of service in civilian language within the ninety seconds a hiring manager actually gives them.
I know that gap from both sides.
I served thirteen years on active duty in the Navy and twelve years in the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. I have been the candidate trying to make sense of a civilian job market that reads like a foreign country. I have also been the recruiter on the other side of the table, watching qualified people get screened out before anyone understood what they could do.
That gap is fixable. That is why I built JaxNexus.
The record
That is the only reason anything here is worth your time.
13 years active duty as an Operations Specialist First Class, including shipboard operations, force protection, tactical coordination, Western Pacific and Persian Gulf deployments, and OIF/OEF support.
12 years in the Reserve component, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. Emergency Management Specialist and First Sergeant responsible for readiness, response planning, welfare, and discipline across large units.
Recruited for hard-to-fill technical and leadership roles in one of the most competitive talent markets in the country. Learned exactly which signals get candidates noticed and which get them screened out.
Read military resumes for a living. Translate military experience into language federal and civilian hiring officials can understand and act on.

Lock On. Execute. Win.
Most transition advice tells you to “tell your story.” It rarely shows you how to turn military experience into language that earns trust with a civilian hiring manager.
Zero Fluff is the field manual for that problem. It gives veterans, military spouses, Reserve, and Guard members a repeatable system to translate real experience without fake corporate language, empty inspiration, or a scripted elevator pitch.
Inside the book
Available in Kindle, paperback, and hardcover. The Zero Fluff Ledger paperback is also available on Amazon.
Frameworks
I do not believe veterans need a new identity. They need a reliable way to explain the identity they already earned.
A five-phase process for converting military experience into career language that sounds like you and holds up in a hallway, interview, networking event, or hiring fair.
Build Your ResonatorSay it plainly, with no jargon, no performance, and no scripted pitch. It applies operational discipline to how you talk about your value.
Read Zero FluffTransition is a mission. It needs phases, objectives, accountability, and outcomes that can be measured, not vague intentions that disappear by week three.
Start Your Mission“The civilian world is not harder than what you have already survived. You just need a translator.”
Build your Hallway Resonator
